This policy explains what personal information In Your Handwriting collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and what you can do about it. It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
In Your Handwriting is operated by Inside Your Library, ABN 28 680 318 120, a sole trader registered in Queensland, Australia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that operator.
The short version. We do not store your handwriting photographs. Your images are used to produce your analysis and then discarded. We keep your name and email address so we can deliver your analysis and answer support questions. We only add you to our mailing list if you tick the box asking us to. We never sell your information to anyone.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We do not store your handwriting or signature photographs. Your images are held in memory only for as long as it takes to produce your analysis, are included in the analysis emailed to you, and are then discarded. They are not written to any database or file store we control, and no copy remains with us afterwards.
Your images are transmitted to Anthropic to be analysed — see section 4 below. We cannot delete data held by another company on their systems, so this statement covers our own systems only.
We use a small number of service providers to run In Your Handwriting. Each receives only what it needs.

Your analysis is produced with the assistance of AI models operated by Anthropic. We access these through Anthropic's commercial API, which is governed by their Commercial Terms of Service. Those terms state:
"Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services."
"Customer Content" covers both what is sent to the model and what it produces — that is, your handwriting images and your analysis. Anthropic's own handling of that data is governed by their terms and privacy documentation, which you can read at anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms.
All of the providers listed above are based outside Australia, primarily in the United States and Europe. By using In Your Handwriting you consent to your information being disclosed to overseas recipients for the purposes described in this policy. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers, but we cannot guarantee that overseas recipients will handle your information in a way that complies with the Australian Privacy Principles, and you may not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act in those countries.
Graphology is a traditional interpretive practice, not a scientifically validated method of personality assessment. Your analysis is offered for reflection and self-discovery. It is not psychological, medical, diagnostic, employment, or forensic advice, and should not be relied upon for any of those purposes.
Because analyses are generated with the assistance of AI, they may occasionally contain content that is inaccurate or that you find inappropriate. Every analysis includes a "Report a problem" link, and we read every report we receive.
We will only add you to the Inside Your Library mailing list if you expressly ask us to — either by ticking the optional box when you order, or by using a subscribe form on one of our sites. Purchasing an analysis does not by itself sign you up for anything.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us. We will always send you transactional messages relating to an order you have placed, such as your analysis itself and any receipts.
All traffic to and from our site is encrypted in transit. Card details are handled by Stripe or Google Play Billing and never reach our servers. Access to our systems is restricted to the operator. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold — including, most simply, by not keeping your images at all.
In Your Handwriting is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, email hello@insideyourlibrary.com with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be noted on this page.
